I invested a lot of time in this series and feel like the end was rushed to just end it. The first 3 books were on a timeline of what, less than a year? then the last book jumps ahead, not once, not twice but 3 times? going from 2 years, then 6 years then 10 years? All that turmoil for it to just jump years? Not impressed. The last couple of chapters just didn't have any details at all. It would've been better to just have ended it with them deciding to not go to vegas and we could've imagined the rest.... At first this series reminded me of an angsty teen 50 shades. But this is more emotionally provoking. Well written and intense. I could not put these books down and averaged 1-2days on each. I stayed up until 4 in the morning some days without even realizing it. Was this relationship toxic at times? Hell yes. Did I want to throw my kindle across the room at times? Hell yes. I laughed. I cried. I lived in Tessa's and Hardin's world as if it were my own. And while people may not agree with what was written and themes of toxic relationships etc. I beg to differ. This addressed real things but it didn't glorify them. Is some of it unrealistic? Of course but isn't it the fun part of fiction? To escape. To dream. To live. These books had me on the edge of my seat. Brought out emotions I haven't felt reading in a long time. And to draw out emotions and place you in the book, not just have you read words, is the art of writing.
